A number of students from the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra participated in the unified university students' mourning procession in the holy city of Karbala, in a religious and humanitarian atmosphere reflecting the spirit of service and cooperation. The participants included:

This participation stems from the students' keenness to contribute to service activities related to the occasion and to highlight the role of youth in supporting community engagement and promoting humanitarian values.
