On Monday morning, July 13, 2026, the Department of Marine Sciences held the final seminar for Master's student Asim Ahmed Younis. He presented his thesis proposal, outlining the research problem, objectives, and significance, as well as the scientific methodology employed in conducting the study.
The seminar was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Nawras Abdulghani Abdulzahra, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulhussain Hatem Ghazi, and several faculty members and graduate students from the college. A scholarly discussion ensued, enriching the research topic. A number of observations and scientific suggestions were offered to enhance the quality of the thesis and develop it in accordance with academic standards and the directives of the College of Marine Sciences.
In conclusion, the student and his supervisors were commended for their efforts in preparing the research proposal. The attendees wished him continued success in his academic journey and hoped that his efforts would culminate in the completion of a sound thesis that contributes to the advancement of knowledge and scientific research.
