Under the guidance of the Dean, Professor Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra continues its comprehensive field campaign to clean, rehabilitate, and maintain the college buildings and their service facilities. This campaign is being overseen and monitored by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdul Hussein Hatem Ghazi, and is made possible through the outstanding efforts of the Maintenance and Services Division staff.
The college commends the Services Division in particular for its continuous efforts in organizing the fieldwork and providing the necessary support, which has contributed to the campaign's success and the creation of a clean and conducive university environment for students and staff.
The campaign included extensive cleaning of the college's various corridors, courtyards, and gardens. It also encompassed the maintenance and rehabilitation of several service facilities, as well as inspection and maintenance of electrical systems, backup generators, and service networks, all of which contribute to improving their efficiency and ensuring their continued readiness.
Furthermore, the campaign included the rehabilitation of green spaces and gardens, and the planting of numerous seedlings, enhancing the college's aesthetic appeal and providing a healthy and safe university environment befitting its staff and students.
These efforts are part of the College of Marine Sciences' plan aimed at maintaining the safety of buildings and service facilities, raising the level of preparedness, and efficiently utilizing available resources, thus ensuring the continuity of services and creating a suitable university environment that supports the scientific and research progress at the college.
