The University of Basra issued a university order promoting Dr. Ayman Ghazi Faisal, a lecturer in the College of Marine Sciences, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

This promotion, in both her general specialization (Chemistry) and her specific specialization (Organic Chemistry), was based on the decision of the Central Scientific Promotions Committee at the University of Basra during its second session held on October 6, 2026. The promotion was granted after Dr. Faisal fulfilled all the scientific, research, and academic requirements stipulated in the Scientific Promotions Instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
